Rodarius MarcellGreen[2] (born on August 27 1997), is a famous American singer and rapper. [3][4][5] He is well-known for his powerful voice and blending of hip hop and R&B,[2and has been acknowledged as a trailblazer of soul-trap.Wave became famous through the single of 2019 "Heart on Ice" which became a viral hit through YouTube and TikTok and hit 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel (2019) peaked at the top of the US Billboard 200. The second album, Pray 4 Love (2020) peaked in the Billboard 200 at number 2,[99. It was a hit with the track "Rags2Riches" which peaked at 12th on the Hot 100. His third album, SoulFly (2021), was his first album that peaked at the top of the charts at number one. It was his first album to chart. Wave's professional career started in 2016 with the launch of his mixtape Hunger Games Vol.1. Wave released numerous mixtapes prior signing with Alamo Records. On the 14th of June in 2019, he debuted his mixtape PTSD that included the hit song "Heart on Ice". The song was viral across YouTube, TikTok and reached number 25 in the Billboard Hot 100. [7] Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel was released on November 1, 2019. It reached number 10 on the US Billboard 200. The 3rd of April, 2020, Rod Wave released his second album, "Pray 4 Love". It debuted at the 2 spot on Billboard 200. The deluxe edition was released on August 7. [9] The album debuted at the 2nd spot on the Billboard 200 chart, with an enhanced edition following on August 7. Wave was part of XXL's 2020 Freshman class on August 11 on the 11th of August in 2020. 15 July, 2020, Wave revealed during an interview that they were working on their third album, which was initially scheduled for August 27, 2020. [2] He revealed the tracks on the album SoulFly on March 6, 2021. He also included songs "Street Runner", and "Tombstone" which was his most-charting song and peaked at the top of the charts at 11 on The Hot 100.
