Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on 13 February 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. After a brief stint as a fashion model her career quickly shifted to acting when she appeared as a guest star on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. Her film debut was in 1997's drama Nowhere. In American Beauty and American Pie the actress gained more recognition in her roles. Since then she appeared with Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) alongside her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal role in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). In 2002, she starred in Spun the independent drama as well as 2004's thriller Trauma. She also appeared in the HBO's drama series Six Feet Under in 2004 she was recognized as a member of the Outstanding Cast in the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari was included in a variety of films, such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari appears in models for Lancome Paris Adaptive and she's also been featured on a number of fashion blogs and magazines, including Vogue. She has been a supporter and advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious organization that provides relief to Africa. Also, she is involved in matters of empowerment for women and is associated with groups that help raise awareness about breast cancer as well as the End Violence Against Women Campaign. Most well-known is her part in television shows like Dark Angel Heroes the Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper or Rookie Blue.
