LeBron Raymone James Sr. Born 30 December 1984 - is a professionally-trained American basketball star. James became the first NBA player with 10,000 points, 10 rebounds and an assist in 2022. James was a student at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. The national media celebrated James as an NBA superstar. As a prep to pro, his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the number one overall pick in the NBA draft in 2003. The 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year he soon established himself as one of the top league players by winning an NBA MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. James signed a free-agent contract following his failure to earn championships in Cleveland. The decision to quit Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered one of the controversial free-agent moves in sports history.
